EFD is dedicated to assisting the community, both in Israel and in Thailand. In Israel EFD donates to various organizations who help the ill, the elderly and disadvantaged children.
In Thailand, EFD actively takes part in various projects for protection of the environment; and provides help for ill children and underprivileged students.
Social responsibility in Israel
One of the worthy causes which EFD has decided to support is the well known organization Ezer Mizion. Ezer Mizion, the Israel Health Support Organization, offers an extensive range of medical and social support services to help Israel's ill, disabled, elderly and underprivileged populations. Another charity organization to which EFD donates is Aleh, which in Hebrew stands for "Help for the disabled child".Aleh cares for children with medical conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome, as well as genetic disorders including Tay-Sachs, Canavan disease and Rett syndrome.
Many of Aleh's children come from families who lack the financial resources or time to adequately care for their disabled child. Without Aleh, these children would never have the opportunity to develop beyond the boundaries of their prognoses.
Nachalat David Talmudical College
EFD has taken on Nachalat David,Talmudical college, as one of it's charity projects. EFD has undertaken to provide scholarships for a specified amount of students each year.
Social responsibility in Thailand
E.F.D. (Thailand) Ltd., is totally committed to upholding safety awareness and to improving our production process with Cleaner Technology to protect the environment. This is in cooperation with Chiangmai University and the National Science and Technology Development Agency.
We support the following campaigns:
- Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign.
- Sustainable Non Alcohol Campaign.
- Quit Smoking Campaign.
- We also provide education to employees on contagious diseases such as AIDS and tuberculosis.
E.F.D. and our employees join the Thai Red Cross Society blood drive semi-annually on Father's and Mother's days and donate food, clothes and necessary supplies to assist Natural Disaster Victims. We also provide scholarships to schoolchildren and supply books to area community libraries.
E.F.D.. believes in promoting excellence in our industry.
We proactively participate in Industrial Production Process Improvement with Cleaner Technology, in cooperation with Chiangmai University and the National Science and Technology Development Agency.
